I graduated from the University of Utah (Go Utes!) with a BA in Finance and a BS in Marketing. My professional career includes venture capital, investment banking and a couple of start-ups in random industries. I currently work full-time as the Director of Sales for a large international company that acquired my previous enterprise. My next move will entail becoming a full-time trader. Giddy up!
On a personal note, My name is Stan, I am 31 and I always seem to be listening to Incubus.
I started this blog for three primary reasons:
1- To use as a personal journal with the primary emphasis on my trading activities, although I believe that successful trading will require a comprehensive approach to personal development, so I will talk about other things too. My goal is to become a full-time, professional commodities, futures and options trader. In the near-term, I am focused on trading the e-mini Russell futures index (TF).
2- To openly share my experience with anyone who cares to look. I started trading with a $5,000 account balance and I am fully committed to making a career out of this. It's all about patience, persistence and discipline. And a good plan of course!
3- I hope to meet other traders who are on a similar journey as I am, and in doing so, perhaps we can all help each other get better and smarter so we can reach our personal goals. After all, they say the best way to become successful at any endeavor is to surround yourself with like-minded people who are smarter than you. I couldn't agree more.
Finally, I am quite sarcastic so read accordingly. Cheers!
Hi Stan,
Thanks for dropping a note on my blog. Really appreciate it :-)
You really nailed the TF. I'm impressed :-)
Haven't really come across a blogger that trades TF. Will be checking out all your postings.
